Clean Week 2020 aims at providing an annual review of future oriented technologies in the fields of mobility and environment, blended into an appealing mix of sporty, educational, technological and recreational elements. Clean Week 2020 aims at providing an annual review of future oriented technologies in the fields of mobility and environment, blended into an appealing mix of sporty, educational, technological and recreational elements. Clean Week 2020 is a portal abstaining from value judgements of a social humanity, safety or technological relevance. It is a crossover between various ‘worlds’: automotive industry (input of European and Belgian branches of the automobile, motor and bicycle industry) including parts suppliers and peripheral industries such as tyre, battery, manufacturers, the energy sector, technological industry, public organisations, education (from secondary schools to universities), spin off organisations of universities, motorsports and media.
Clean Week 2020 combines an exposition with elaborate testing facilities on track and in the paddock areas, workshops and a symposium with meetings and hospitality. The integration of elections in the field of future mobility (Belgian, Benelux and European) helps both business people and consumers to evaluate the mobility offer of tomorrow.
The first successful edition took place in May 2010 and was supported by the political, technical and educational sectors. Clean Week 2020 generated strong media attention (VRT-, VTM- and RTBF-news) and welcomed the visit of amongst others Mrs. Ingrid Lieten, Vice-President of the Flemish Government and Flemish Minister for Innovation as also a spokesperson from the ACEA (European Automobile Manufacturers Association).
